What Have You Been Doing?

Rica (Callahan) Sell
I am a Chiropractor and have been practicing in the Huntington, Bluffton and Berne, Ind. area since 1986. I am married to Menno Schwartz and have two children. Lacy (32) and son-in-law Drew Emsweller live in Brownsburg, Ind. My son, Cory Sell (24), WILL graduate someday from Purdue.
We are active in the outreach ministries of our church and I teach "Attacking Anxiety and Depression" classes in my clinic. I enjoy traveling and making jewelry. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Jeff Overdorf
Following high school graduation, I went to IU and earned a degree in English. After graduation, I backpacked around Europe for 18 months, then returned to the U.S. and got an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. I was recruited to New York, where I lived and worked from 1976 to 1989. After New York, I moved to London where I joined a consultancy partnership as a specialist in supply chain and distribution development for Eastern Europe. I cashed out of the partnership in 2000, and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where I bought and sold some properties and joined the staff of Western International University (a sister school of the University of Phoenix) as Assistant Professor of International Business. I still reside in Arizona, although I still do some limited consulting work from a base in San Francisco.

Another Teacher Sponsor

Thanks to Anita (Ganote) Siler, who has offered to sponsor another of our teachers for the Reunion. It is only through the generosity of your classmates that our teachers will be here to join our celebration.

Thank You For Sponsoring Teachers

A special thanks to classmates --Holly (Moore) Broadstreet, Stan Bell, Christy Berry and Bev Caesar -- who have each contributed a few $$ to sponsor a former teacher or spouse to be able to attend the Pike Reunion this year. This may very well be the most faculty members that have ever attended a 40th Reunion at Pike before. Anybody else who wants to help out, contact Patti Flanigan Medvescek. Thanks for your help.

It was May 1957 when the Pied Piper Kindergarten from salem Lutheran Church took a field trip from New Augusta to downtown Indianapolis. These photos (courtesy of Myra McCammon Leap) show the students and their parents waiting in the New Augusta train station. Pictured in second photo is Debbie Watts, Debbie Streets, Ruth Ann Parish and two unidentified boys. Anybody recognize the boys in the photo, please email me.
